Looking back at late March, 2019...

- When can we please see members of Congress pass laws instead of trading insults?

- Kind of hard to believe, but I'm already beginning to hate Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish more than I did last year.

- Can't wait until 2020 when Milwaukee will be scrubbed clean for the DNC.

- Watching a Final Four NCAA without Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina will be refreshing.

- I'm a little bummed over reading some bad reviews of "Dumbo," the movie.

- I did not realize how complicated it is to find someone who can build a privacy fence in my backyard.

- A.J., our 14-year-old family dog, is now deaf. On the negative side, I need to perfect my visual cues to communicate with him. On the plus side, he probably won't wake us during overnight thunderstorms.

- Whoever coined the phrase, "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb" would rethink that this year. The Upper Midwest needs a decent April.
