No time to wallow in the mire

Oh, yeah, baby, light my fire.
By now, we can all say - even spell - incendiary. The word of the moment is all on our minds, thanks to those accusing an ex-President of igniting the riot at the U.S. Capitol. After all, SOMEONE has to be blamed for those actions. Much easier to focus on a person - especially a just-unelected-but still hated former leader, instead of group idiocy. Their stupid actions done of free will were horrific.
But we NEEDED to focus on the real culprit. After all, the ex-President has been reviled for so long we're pretty sure we hate his ancestral village (you know, it takes a village...)
But what does it take to push back on words that come from other national office holders? In the past few days, we have heard from the Speaker of the House and the darling of the social progressives. They have accused others in rival political party with inciting unspeakable acts - acts that have not been taken.. But oh, my -- they could happen. Maybe, just maybe, someone or a group takes these words as a call to action -- even if any of this is couched in feigned indignation or innocent "poor me" rhetoric. When we are told about the "enemy within," it is a lit match about to find its explosive source.
Think about that.
These types of accusations and ascribing characteristics to individuals or groups of individuals is every bit of flame-throwing as telling people to fight for what they believe.
What is or isn't incendiary can be debated forever. However, it is up to us as hopefully free thinking individuals with a modicum of logic to know the difference.
Sadly, there is not enough logic among the people we elect to represent us. It's time to change that,
You know what to do.
Peacefully, please.
